How can I start?
You can start downloading the Suite and the language pack from Download page. Then you can run the main package to extract the Suite in a folder of your choice. Finally you can extract the language pack and copy "Apps" folder from it to the Suite directory. The Suite is ready, now you can run the "Start" file and use it!
What are the applications included in the Suite?
The Suite includes a lot of apps organized in various categories. You don't need to remove unused apps, because all of them are portable (so they are standalone and don't leave nothing in your computer). The complete list of apps included is available at The Suite page.
What are the requirements to use the Suite?
The Suite is tested and optimized for 512MB USB flash drive or more (Lite version for smaller one), on Windows® XP® and Vista® systems. It works perfectly well from any device: USB flash drive, portable hard drive, iPod, Eee PC and others. Most of its applications work also on other Windows® editions.
(No other requirements needed, the Suite is completely standalone and dependency free)
What is the difference between Full and Lite versions?
The Full version includes lots of programs and games for everyone, that are organized in various categories (Internet, Multimedia, Graphics, System, Security, Office, Utility, Extra, Games); it is perfect for everyone wants a full suite of software, free and simple to use.
The Lite version is completely Open Source and it contains only some essential applications (7-Zip Plus, eMulePortable, Firefox Plus, foobar2000, Notepad++, SumatraPDF, VLC Plus); it is perfect for everyone wants a little suite, that can be customized by the user.
Why my antivirus report a dangerous file in the Suite?
Some antiviruses report the presence of dangerous files (malware, trojans, viruses...) in Lupo PenSuite: they are false positives, the Suite is completely clean. Read this page for more info.
How can I autorun the Suite?
If you use the Suite from an USB flash drive, you can autorun it (if supported) when you plug in the device: you have to put the Suite in the main device folder (the "Start.exe" file should be in the main directory).
If you use the Suite from an hard disk, you can autorun it at the system startup: you have to click on "Options" from the Suite menu and select "Start ASuite on system startup".
How can I update the Suite?
To update the whole Suite you can follow this tutorial, that show how to import application settings from an old Suite release to the new one. If you want to manually update single applications, you can read the "Lupo-HELP.txt" file included in each application folder to know how to do it correctly.
How can I add applications to the Suite?
Following this tutorial you can easily customize the Suite adding portable programs and games. You can find a very large collection of software in Additional Apps pages, to extend your Suite as you like.
How can I change Suite skins and icon sets?
You can change both the skin and the icon set of the Suite. To do it follow the instructions at the next page of this documentation.
What is ASuite?
The Suite use a main launcher to manage and organize the wide collection of software. This powerful Open Source launcher is ASuite, developed by El Salvador and customized by us for Lupo PenSuite.
Why source codes are not included in the Suite?
We have omitted source codes of open source applications to optimize the Suite (they are available from their own websites). We remind you also that, for the same reason, most of applications included are only in English (you can find traslation packs at Download page).
